I thought this was beautiful... I am a sucker for these little Mormon Messages from LDS.org.

Love this blog!
This blog is such a fun way to stay in touch. Thanks Karlene!
Two dates to put on your calendar.
1. family photo date has been changed to 10-10-10. A great date for us all to remember -- my brother's birthday! And yes, a great date all on it's own.
2. July 30 to Aug 3, 2011 (four sleeps) for our Yellowstone Vacation. These dates aren't set in cement because we haven't booked the cabin yet but we are aiming for those dates. The same cabin that we used last time is available (the price has gone up but we think it's worth it). More details later. FUN!

I loved this quote.
This is so true. “Prophecies regarding the last days often refer to large-scale calamities such as earthquakes or famines or floods [and] . . . economic or political upheavals of one kind or another. But there is one kind of latter-day destruction that has always sounded to me more personal than public, more individual than collective—a warning, perhaps more applicable inside the Church than outside it. The Savior warned that in the last days even those of the covenant, the very elect, could be deceived by the enemy of truth.”

It was 25 years ago today that Garrett was born. In some ways it seems like yesterday. What a comfort the gospel is.

M. Gilbert Keeler

To answer the question on everyone's minds: No, Chuck didn't CAVE and get me a kitty for my birthday. But he certainly has been wonderful in tolerating the cute little bugger. My best friend from high school dropped him off on our doorstep on Saturday morning with a cute little note saying, "If you don't want me, or Chuck won't let you keep me, call this number."
Chuck said we could keep him.
Now we have a kitty. And his name is M. Gilbert Keeler. Apostle-like, eh? (Several of you will know what the M. stands for- but Chuck thinks it's ridiculous so I can't openly say what it stands for. We'll just call him Gill.)
He's super cute. - He makes us sneeze and itch - But he's super cute.

Family Pictures!
MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!
Family pictures on SEPT. 12th!!!
I think it's been 13 years since the extended Robinson family has taken family pictures. So I thought it was time! We thought Fall colors would look good. Brown, maroon, dark green, dark blue, earth tones, on top. And dark bottoms. Solid colors look best in a group, so stick with solid. The time will be posted as it comes sooner. It will depend on the sun. But plan on late afternoon. Oh! I'll take individual family pictures too!!
YAY!! for family pictures!!!

WHO DID IT?
A few years ago (maybe five years ago) Ron gave us two containers of honey. Said it was the best honey ever. Well, tonight he found his honey gift in our pantry, uneaten. He did the Indian Giver thing and took one back! He was stirring it when he discovered something in the honey. It was one of our long lost spoons. Brinley said, "Take a picture." Which Karlene did. So now I want to know who left the spoon in the honey?

Tom was trying to help us sell our old paint and placed this ad on KSL.com along with some pictures of the paint and color, etc.
$180.00
15 gallons Fenland Green Kwal Ambassador Paint
Alpine, UT 84004 - Jul 19, 2010
Grandma wanted to paint the house. Grandpa didn't. Grandpa won for a change. So now they have 15 gallons of high quality paint they can't use. This is an exterior interior acrylic enamel paint. It is a very atrtractive Mossy green color called Fenland Green; very popular color. It's in a 2220 medium eggshell white base. The retail price is over $350. They are asking for $180 OBO for all 15 gallons. Call for a price if you only need 5 or 10 gallons. Call 801-492-9249 and ask for Grant or Mary.
I received a telephone call at 12:12 p.m. from a Laura Gilbertson. She asked if I would take $150.00 for the paint. I said, "Yes." Said she lives in Clearfield and would be here at 3:00 p.m. to make the purchase.
She said she felt bad that I couldn't use the paint. Told me not to give-up. I promised her that I wouldn't, and I won't.
She actually showed up! Paid in cash! And the best thing about all this is that I just remembered that I PAID FOR THE PAINT out of my inheritance money. So the $150.00 is all mine! Thanks Tom!

My friend has this video on her blog. I think it is definitely something to share....and maybe something I need to watch every day! It really puts our jobs as mothers into an eternal perspective. I have a hard time remembering the eternal importance as I am struggling with a rambunctious and bossy three year old and a new baby.... I just thought I would share this ;)

Permit!
Yesterday I got my learners permit!!! I took the test 4 times, but I finally got it on the fourth try!! :) (and, I only missed 2) I'm so excited now because I can DRIVE!!! Finally!! I drove around yesterday with my mom and it's kind of scary but fun. I'm pretty decent at it. If any of you want me to drive you around while we're at grandma and grandpa's house, it would be my pleasure. :)
