We have spent many happy hours looking at the pictures of our loved ones. We love every picture but there is one that touched my heart -- Austin helping Tyson out of the pool. An example of how loving families should be.

LUJEAN MOSS LuJean Robinson Moss 1937 ~ 2011 LuJean R. Moss passed away at her home on Sunday, January 23rd, 2011, at age 73, after dealing for three and a half years with the effects of a stroke. LuJean was born December 27, 1937, to Kenneth Larsen Robinson and Lucy Evans in American Fork, Utah. She was the second child in her family, with three brothers, Grant (Mary Jean), Dale, Clyde (Janice), and two sisters, Ruth (Gary), and Jill. On September 4, 1957, she married Dan Edgar Moss in the Salt Lake Temple. They had six children: Brad (Dana), Clark (Sharon), Ed (Celecta), Michelle (Jim), Blaine (Amalie), and Chris (Ben), 30 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. LuJean grew up and lived in the same house in American Fork until she was married. After graduation from American Fork High School in 1956, she attended Brigham Young University, then met and married Dan. They lived in Nebraska, American Fork, Cedar Ciy, Stansbury Park, Orem, and Provo, Utah. LuJean enjoyed being a mother and homemaker. She was also passionate about music, singing, piano, and organ. She enjoyed scrap-booking, knitting, needlework, housework, and cooking. Her family and fellow Church members came first, and she served each of them tirelessly. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many callings, including president of Relief Society, Young Women's, and Primary. Honoring her wishes, no viewing will be held. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 29th, 2011, in the Orem Stonewood Stake Center located at 100 West 450 South, Orem, UT. Family Dinner 1-30-2011

Sunday Menu:
Chili (served with grated cheese & onions)
Corn Bread & Crackers
Birthday Cake & Ice Cream

We will be celebrating Ron and Steve's birthdays -- I usually ask one of the birthday people what kind of cake they would like but I'm going to take the cook's prerogative and choose myself. I haven't made Carrot Cake for a long time -- so that's what it will be.
Looking forward to seeing all of you! Love our family gatherings!

I may be the last in the family to look at youth.lds.org but I'm posting this just in case there is someone else that hasn't seen it yet. After the site comes up click on A Work In Progress. You'll see Tyler Haws, etc. It's well worth watching. If you look closely you will also see Ron & Karlene in it.
The Haws family and Ron & Karlene's family have been close friends for several years. They were there when Tyler opened his mission call.
Also the Haws family (Tyler's grandfather, Ralph, also known a pee-wee) grew up in the same ward as I did - Lehi Fifth Ward so we have an interest in the Haws Family Events.

MORE SAD NEWS!

Ron won't be here for Sunday dinner. He is in San Diego. Although how can we feel too bad for someone in San Diego, one of my favorite places.

No more wisdom....teeth!

Miracles do happen!

Do you remember Grant's old boots he purchased back in Wisconsin (1972) that were held together with duck-tape? Well, he actually purchased some new ones today with Ron and Trek's encouragement. Amazing!

Well, anyone can be on SugarDoodle.net. I just submitted an idea under Primary 3, Lesson 3. I think I will have to be more creative to make it to the first page.

Interesting little tidbits ---

1. Do you know who wrote the verse and chapter headings in our LDS Scriptures?
2. Do you know who chose the font/style used in our scriptures?
3. Do you know why some words in the Bible are italicized?

Answers:
1. It was the brilliant Bruce R. McConkie.

2. It was President Thomas S. Monson (a member of the twelve at the time). He wanted one that could be easily read and yet not take up too much space. He actually used to be a printer and became the General Manager of the Deseret News Press before his call to become an Apostle.

3. Because the translators had to add that word or words to make that particular translation understandable in English. There were no identical word or words in the Greek or Hebrew languages.

Sad news

Lori & Craig are not going to join us on Sunday.

Why? Because Lori didn't marry an orphan and we have to share!

They are going to Idaho for a wedding and a missionary farewell.

I'm telling everyone this now so I don't have to see your disappointed faces when you hear the news. We love it best when "everyone" is here but that isn't always possible. We love all of you!

There are all kinds of FUN dates! And today's date is one of them.

Sundays Now Look Like This...

Our ward split again last Sunday. This is the second time in 15 months. Crazy, right? We love our neighborhood!

Chuck was called as the Exec. Secretary and is working with a GREAT bishopric. He was gone from 9-4 today for meetings and church, and he went back to the church at 8 tonight. Yeah- he's pretty cool.

I'm now the 2nd counselor in Primary. Apparently I am meant to be with the kiddos...

Kinsley is sick with the croop. It's her first ever sickness. The other morning Austin went and told his parents that, "Kinzley is breathing like Darth Vader!"

BIG MILE STONE A COM'IN

I remember January 14, 1956 as the day I met "the love of my life!"
Grant remembers that date because it was when he purchased his first car!
And we are still together -- amazing!

If a pictures is worth a thousand words then I am talking too much, even stuttering in one place.

The next same type of date will be 2-2-22 which will be Ron's 59th birthday.

Sad news. Steve is moving out! Oh, No! How could this be?
Moving out on Monday (maybe even Sunday night).
I'm sad. We have enjoyed him living here.

I'll have Cheese Cake for dessert on Sunday, the kind that Steve likes (with the terrible Graham Cracker crust). And some with the good crust for the rest of us.

We don't get out of church until 4:00 pm so we'll have the blessing with the first arrivals. Come whenever you can. We'll serve up until midnight.

Definitely influenced by Lisa on this choice. When she lived in California and was coming for a visit she would sometimes request this recipe. I think it was the only one she ever requested.
