Great Pictures - Great Family!!!

THANKS KARLENE!!!

I wish I could put all of the pictures on here. The one of Austin walking in front of the Hill family's picture reminds me of a precious moment of when Lisa walked in front of Stan Steiner's wedding picture. Love the one where the candles are being blown out with help from Austin and Tyson.
Great Family! Love all of you!!!

Not much sunshine expected for Sunday

So we'll just take the pictures in the house and hope that the limited light coming through the windows, plus all of our lights turned on will be enough.
Looking forward to seeing all of you tomorrow!

Thanksgiving Traditions

Remember those little Turkey favors we sometimes have for Thanksgiving? I was debating about making them this year when I asked Steve if he remembers them. He said, Yes, and recently he was asked about Thanksgiving traditions and that is the one he told them about. So this Sunday (1) picture taking; (2) Lasagna dinner; (3) we can make the turkey favors (for those who want to).

P.S. Steve also said that he is really looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. It's his first since returning home.

Wave of the future?

These front loading washers were to be the wave of the future. Well, maybe not. They stink! Literally. A mold is found to be growing in them, plus other stuff that produces a smell, not a nice smell. I didn't even notice it until Karlene said her washer stinks. I said, "Mine doesn't." But then I put my nose in there and was surprised to find PEE-U-E. And we live in a dry climate, imagine the smell in humid places.

I've always loved the snow but now I'm ready to move south where there is no snow. The problem is I can't go unless ALL of you are willing to move also. All aboard?

mark your calendars

Sunday, November 21 we plan to take family pictures -- at 3:00 p.m.
I know this is way early for some of you but we need to consider the lighting. Hopefully the weather will cooperate also. Please try to be here by 3:00 p.m.
After picture taking we will have a Lasagna dinner.
P.S. If possible, we hope to have pictures taken at a nearby amphitheatre. We can caravan there. It's near the Mt. Timpanogos temple.

Thanksgiving Joy

Good news/bad news.
Bad news: Travis has to work on Thanksgiving Day!
Good news: he doesn't have to leave until about 12:30 p.m. So we'll have the blessing right at 12 noon which leaves plenty of time to eat tons. Hope everyone can come about 11:00 a.m. so that we can have time to nibble on Hors d'oeuvrews (yes, I had to look up the spelling) and visit before Travis has to leave. Dinner will be at Ron and Karlene's this year. Sure hope everyone will be able to join us for this wonderful holiday (one of my favorites).

Trick-or-Treat

This is how far I will go to get a really good Halloween costume. I will actually have my nose removed and reattached.
Actually I had a melanoma removed from my nose. This is the artistic sculpting of Dr. Sanderson. What do you think?
I am making Pumpkin Pie Dip and bring it :)

more on the menu

This morning over breakfast I told Steve that I was trying to come up with a fitting menu for this Sunday's Halloween Party. Suggested maybe calling red jello Blood Pudding. He said I should make Chocolate Pudding and call it Blood Pudding because that is what it looks like. I asked how he knew that. Said he had eaten it!!! Said he has eaten everything that is gross!!!
So I'm adding Blood Pudding to the menu.

SNOW ON TIMPANOGOS!!!

What to wear for family pictures

Just a reminder that we will have family pictures taken this coming Sunday (after eating Chili, etc.).
Karlene wants us to wear . . . what colors?
Bright yellow, pinks, plaid???? Don't buy something new (unless you want to).
P.S. I expect Karlene will clarify this (I hope she will anyway).
Also what if it rains?

Clarification: NO pinks, pastels or prints! Dark blue, dark green, brown, dark red. Fall colors. Just wear what you have in your closet. AND your smile! If it rains, we'll postpone. But not dinner. That's on, no matter what! :)
