GRANDMA!!!!
When our ward announced we would be having a chili cook-off, both grandpa and I (Karlene) suggested that grandma should enter her chili. She told us she didn't need to enter a silly contest to know hers is the best. ha ha. After a little persuasion, she decided to enter. (Actually she should tell the story, because she almost didn't make the chili, but then decided to, and only had 2 days to soak the beans) Anywho, she won!! And hers was the first one gone! Most of the ward didn't even get a taste of the award winning chili! She won a ladle and an apron, which she wears proudly! I think she might have even slept in it. (the apron I mean:) Congratulations grandma!!
P.S. And no, she wasn't the only person that entered :) She had some tough competition! Professional caterer even.

It was fun. I'll be re-naming my chili recipe to "Prize Winning Chili". I love the apron. I would love to wear it to church tomorrow but I don't think anyone would sit by me.
Congratulations! You should wear your apron to church and sit by the bishop! Just a thought. Now Tom and I will be craving your Prize Winning Chili all day. Way to go Mom!
