A Word of Wisdom

While studying for my lesson, I came across this quote and it just struck me. Thought I'd share.

"In a world of turmoil and uncertainty, it is more important than ever to make our families the center of our lives and the top of our priorities.
Families lie at the center of our Heavenly Father's plan."
                           L. Tom Perry of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles

Several stories in the news have really upset me and I just keep thinking how fragile life is and we could lose any of our loved ones at any moment. I don't want any regrets. That's why I'm going to try a little harder to be a little better!

Comment problem..

Hey everyone. I'm trying to fix the problem with the comments section. It won't let anyone comment right now. Grrr...

Ok. I think I got it working. The comments page will look a little different, but should be just as easy.I'm watching for comments. {hint}

Snow level a bit too low -- it's almost June!

Memorial Day (used to be called Decoration Day)

Not sure if anyone is enterested in visiting the cemeteries on Memorial Day (Monday) or not. But if you want to join Grant & me let us know. We haven't set a time as of yet, probably afternoon. Our lilacs are in bloom and we plan to place some on our family graves, no plans to purchace flowers. We will probably visit American Fork, Lehi, & maybe Cedar Fort cemeteries. When we were kids Memorial Day was a pretty big event. Today, not so much but still something we enjoy.
P.S. Keep your cell phones nearby just in case Grant drives off without me again.

AMAZING

I'm thinking of serving "Chicken" for our next family dinner! After Steve was born, Lori's friend Kelly, brought in dinner -- Sweet & Sour Chicken that was delicious. I'll be using her recipe. What is amazing is that I have never served chicken at any of our dinners. Tom cooked chicken for us once after he won first place at the Utah State Fair for his dutch oven chicken. It was delicious! But this will be my first attempt at chicken for the family.

P.S. for the vegetarians in the family -- yes, we will have other foods on the menu.

Wonderful family day! Birthday cake and our first fire of the year!

Darci's 27th birthday.

No one had more fun than Myles & Austin.

If you look closely you can see Myles & Austin gathering more wood from the wood pile. They LOVED throwing sticks on the fire.

We were about to get rained out
