Guess the correct number of candies in the tube and you win it!

I've decided to accept bribes for clues as to the amount.

Bummer!

First, Lisa & Tom said they won't be at our family dinner on Sunday and now Darci & family won't be here either!!!!

Steve has some good news!!!

Some really good news. I'll let him or Lori post it. And no he is not engaged.

What a teaser!

They did announce at the end of the news program last night that more MTC will be shown between conference sessions on April 3rd.

Helpful Hint

This stuff works great. Spray it in the toilet bowl, close the lid and leave it be for a hour or so and "walla", it's clean. No scrubbing even.

Deer path

Every morning about 8-10 deer cut through our backyard, and go house to house eating foliage. It's a routine I can count on. That's why we leave our gate open. We don't want any more impelled deer.

Bad Smell?

Have you ever noticed that sometimes dish cloths smell bad?
Well, Darci asked me how I keep mine from smelling bad. I said I put them in a pail - like a diaper pail. As though Darci or anyone her age would know what a diaper pail was. But on further thought I don't think that a cloth being in a pail makes the difference. I think my dish cloths still have a lot of detergent in them when I put them in the pail. That is probably why they don't smell? A long answer to your question Darci.

A BIG deal

We actually had our carpets cleaned yesterday! Yes, we have lived in this house for twelve and a half years and our carpets were very dirty (we chose a dark color on purpose, so the dirt wouldn't show as much). I even had the tile cleaned but the grout still isn't really clean but better.

I had to do a little extra house cleaning getting the house ready for Zero-rez and was amazed at how much junk we (actually just me - not Grant) had accumulated. I am used to moving every four years and de-junking than. You can't believe what I found --- even a tiny box of SUGAR BABIES. Now how long have they been sitting there? Since October's scavenger hunt! I rewarded myself by eating them. Yum.
On Sunday, the guys were down stairs watching the Super Bowl, the girls were in the kitchen doing a craft, Austin and Tyson were having fun running around the house and decided to go down stairs. Before descending, Tyson said to Austin, "Be careful, Aust!", Austin turned to Tyson and said, "We're Super Heroes, what could happen?"

A LOVING FAMILY

Lori, Craig, Lisa, Tom, Ron & Karlene THANK YOU FOR THIS GIFT!!!
We have spent many happy hours looking at the pictures of our loved ones. We love every picture but there is one that touched my heart -- Austin helping Tyson out of the pool. An example of how loving families should be.

Family Dinner 1-30-2011

Sunday Menu:
Chili (served with grated cheese & onions)
Corn Bread & Crackers
Birthday Cake & Ice Cream

We will be celebrating Ron and Steve's birthdays -- I usually ask one of the birthday people what kind of cake they would like but I'm going to take the cook's prerogative and choose myself. I haven't made Carrot Cake for a long time -- so that's what it will be.
Looking forward to seeing all of you! Love our family gatherings!

oops! I almost forgot -- "Prize Winning Chili"

youth.lds.org

I may be the last in the family to look at youth.lds.org but I'm posting this just in case there is someone else that hasn't seen it yet. After the site comes up click on A Work In Progress. You'll see Tyler Haws, etc. It's well worth watching. If you look closely you will also see Ron & Karlene in it.
The Haws family and Ron & Karlene's family have been close friends for several years. They were there when Tyler opened his mission call.
Also the Haws family (Tyler's grandfather, Ralph, also known a pee-wee) grew up in the same ward as I did - Lehi Fifth Ward so we have an interest in the Haws Family Events.
